Gitana brings over a decade of experience helping students excel academically and build the confidence they need to thrive. As the Head Executive Functioning Coach and Academic Coach Technology Specialist at Davis Educational Services, she blends deep instructional expertise with an encouraging, student-centered approach that supports learners from elementary school through college.
She holds a Master’s Degree in English Literature with an emphasis in Medieval Studies from California State University, Long Beach, and has extensive experience tutoring all core subjects, including math, science, English, and social studies.
Gitana specializes in working with students with ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia, providing targeted executive-function coaching, organization strategies, and personalized learning plans that promote independence and success. Her calm, patient teaching style helps students feel understood, capable, and ready to engage with challenging material.
In addition to her academic and executive-function expertise, Gitana supports technology integration for our coaching team, helping streamline tools that enhance learning and student engagement.
When she’s not working with students, Gitana enjoys roller skating, reading, knitting, and narrating audiobooks.
